We intend to visit Blea Tarn in Landale in the Lake District.
We plan to stay at the Lancashire Mountaineering Hut at Blea Tarn House, Langdale, LA22 9JU
Meeting at 5.00pm on Thursday the 16th of August and hopefully staying for three nights.
Evening Meal on arrival provided, also breakfasts and picnics. Cost is approximately £7 per person per night plus contribution to food expenses.
To travel to Blea Tarn you need to approach via the road through Little Langdale taking the right fork for Blea Tarn or via the Great Langdale Valley following the steep road up the hill left beyond the Langdale camp site.
Parking at the hut is through the gates via the Blea Tarn House gardens. The road by the house is very narrow. You need to know that this accommodation is more basic than the facilities on the North Wales trip.
Members can come for the full duration or alternatively just for a shorter stay. Whichever you choose – it is important that you register your plans with Nan.
