Dartmoor has been and will forever remain a special place. It has been instrumental in developing my photography. In this lecture, I want to take you all on this journey. A journey across the landscape and how my photography has changed
About Brian
A Passionate Photographer, just trying to get better connecting with the landscape through the lens, and sharing it all with you
I started Photography in July 1987, with an inherited beat-up budget film camera and an equally sad-looking old lens, the film was appropriately priced. The results should have made me give up, but I was hooked.
The subjects I have been passionate about have passed by. Film is a distant memory. The passion I had for making prints in the darkroom never left. I am more passionate now about making landscape photographs than ever before.
My goal is to capture the Landscape as it is, editing the raw files to enhance my message, to add value to the elements in the photograph that I want to share with the world.
As if leaving a lifetime of photographs would not be enough, I have an equal passion for passing on the collected knowledge, passion and skills to other photographers.
Joining Nature First was an obvious thing to do. Nature First bring together an international collective of photographers who subscribe to a set of practices which are aimed at minimising the impact of photographers on the landscape the we love to photograph.
I fully accept that photographers add to the stress on the landscape, but enjoying our wild places and bring it into peoples hearts and homes is so important for the good of all life on our fragile planet it is imperative that photographers find away to live in harmony with our surroundings. Join with us and become a Nature First Photographer
