Blackpool Airshow
Each year in August there is an Airshow in Blackpool over the sea. Last August a few members met up to photograph the action which takes place over the beach near Blackpool Tower
There were a variety of aircraft on show. Including stunt planes
The closing act were the RAF Red Arrows
There was a range of military craft on show ranging from the iconic Battle of Britain flight though Chinook helicopters to the modern Typhoon.
It was a nice sunny day which presented some photography problems but made for a good day out.
There are lots of good locations available from the airport all along the sea front and from the piers near to the Tower
Blackpool Airshow History

Blackpool air display takes place over the famous Blackpool promenade between North and Central piers.
Some of the display aircraft will operate from the nearby Blackpool Airport.
